Why Kreia is the Most Well Written Character in Star Wars, possibly any game ever.

Kreia would be a great mentor to the exile - if the narrative was static. Since the game has a dynamic narrative that is catered to the player, it doesn't really matter. What worked so well with KOTOR was Revan could be bad or good. He could save people or he could ignore them. He could do one thing or the other depending on all of the choices the player makes even if it's the first choice is "bad" and the second choice is "good" and then alternates from there accordingly. With KOTOR 2 this is lost because the narrative is unique, you have a protagonist who is neither good nor bad but falls in the middle. The same with Kreia. However the game is designed to lead a character down a specific path irregardless of the choices and design because of who the character is. I think this is flawed. Your choices ultimately don't really matter when your "mentor" is pushing your or chastising you depending on the situation and your choice. All of it becomes a giant illusion of choice because no matter what the Jedi at the enclave die and the character goes after Revan after fighting the Sith. The villains really have no place in the plot except for being there as a villain and the relationship with Kreia doesn't really grow unless you play the game as a morally neutral character. This would work had it not been on the same level as KOTOR where the game steers you toward good or bad. Either way it was a fun game and had some original characters that I enjoyed but I would in no way shape or form consider Kreia to be one of the top 100 greatest game characters of all time. Her position and teachings and guidance were not original, her example that we have here was used in other games and has since, and she doesn't do anything special in terms of the plot or game, her evolution or transformation of you will took place before the game did and even then if it wasn't her there would have been another morally neutral force sensitive that sided with her the Jedi or Sith and ended up the same way since both factions are generally black and white.

Now that I am thinking about it, another flaw was that you fight her at all. The game should have made it w set of trials the exile has to experience instead of actually fighting.
