The Last Jedi Opening Weekend Day 4 Megathread - SPOILERS

I thought the worst humour was at the start with Poe and Hux. Opening another Star Wars with an awkward joke same with VII and the "who talks first" line. I did thing the jokes got a bit too much, but I'd be lying if I said I still didn't laugh.

I don't get how the mission isn't clear? The point of this movie wasn't that everything goes swimmingly well, it was based on failure for the Resistance i.e. being forced to evacuate their base on D'Qar, thinking they got away but being tracked, Finn's mission failing etc. The story arcs were similar to ESB in a way with the Empire vs Rebels, Luke with Yoda. I think it being non-stop was good, as really there was a lot to get through for the setup for IX.

The fact you reference the term "The Last Jedi" directly to Luke shows you were expecting TLJ to be 2 and a half hours of Luke waving his lightsaber around.
