These battery packs on Amazon have as close to a perfect review score as you can get, and there are almost 1,300 reviews. That’s pretty damn good. You get three battery packs and the charger. There aren’t many better deals out there, and these work flawlessly.

They’re made specifically for Xbox controllers, but, unlike play and charge kits, they don’t come with a cable. That isn’t an issue, though. For one reason, there are three of them (and at $20, that’s a fantastic deal, especially as it comes with the charger), so you should always have two charged while you’re playing with the third. The other reason is because any Micro-USB cable will work, so you probably have one from something else you can just plug into your Xbox and controller and play if you absolutely have to. It won’t charge your batteries while you play, but it’ll power your controller while you charge your other batteries. You shouldn’t ever need to use it, though. I never have, and I’ve had an Xbox One since release.
