At a lost on how to collect retro games.

I'm not debating the price difference between 4 generations as that obviously exists. I would say that more than 5 percent of the 6th gen has shot up in value. Particularly on the 360 which is what I collect for. The cheap games have gone from £1 to £2/3 but a lot of games that were £10 plus have really started to creep up. I was browsing a whole host of 360 games the other day and there's plenty of games that were £15/20 and above which compared to just a few years ago is q very sharp rise. I never said that the bulk isn't cheap I just stated that the more desirable stuff even on this generation has shot up which is not a lie. Yes you can go and pick 5 or 6 games up for £20 no problem and you can do that for a good while simply because the amount of games that came out on the 7th generation compared to the 3rd is astronomical.

What constitutes a collection. It could be as little as 10 games and you could go and get 10 decent games on the Megadrive easily for a fair price. It is possible. Your initial reply to me was very dismissive of this very simple fact.

Also something neither of us mentioned the fact that some NES games have actually dropped in value as the N64 is one of the main Nintendo consoles to collect for now. Not all. But some. We both have valid and true facts.

My major issue is telling him to forget about, "retro entirely and focus on the 7th gen.

I knowing my market over here know that all generations of games have gone up post covid because so many people picked the hobby up again during lock down.
