Can we talk pricing meta and the boom that is happening right now?

I definitely follow some of your logic about older games being in their prime nostalgia wise right now. I think the medium survives and prices keep going up though.

Retro gaming is more popular than ever, especially among the younger demographic. I think there's a few reasons why (youtube and minecraft being 2 huge reasons) and I don't see this changing any time soon.

Games are absolutely going more and more digital and I think at some point a physical game will be looked at as a rare time piece. Games also have the unique advantage over other "toys" as being seen as legitimate art forms.

As games keep getting resold digitally to the new generations - the original physical versions are like relics to kids. Watch them flip over a pokemon or zelda cart. It's wild, they think it's like buried treasure.

Are today's prices probably a bit of a spike? Yeah I think so and we probably will see them dip momentarily here soon. On a larger scale, I think they continue to rise.
