Yeah, pain is a part of life as is losing someone you love, but obviously pain comes in different severities. The person you replied to (in this comment chain) was saying he/she hopes that you never feel a pain so extreme as is expressed by the people performing this haka, and it definitely sounded like you were saying that a pain that severe is “part of life, get over it.”

But obviously, severity of pain is different for different circumstances. The level of pain expressed in the video ain’t in everybody’s life. Not uncommon, but it’s not in everybody’s life. I don’t know how close you were to your grandpa, but if you felt the level of pain that these guys felt for their close friend and brother, I’m sorry, because that fucking sucks, but it’s still not a part of everybody’s lives. And if you didn’t, I hope you never do.
