I legit cried tears of joy after my first full night's rest after going sober. That was years ago

Now I "moderate" myself by not drinking a single drop until Sat nights, on which I get absolutely pissed. It's a nice little reward without compromising from your weekday productivity, plus it doesn't take as much as it used to to get wasted. I highly recommend this routine

I'm not trying to piss the "can we go back to drunken degeneracy pls?" people off, I've more or less been to the places you have been with the drinking: hallucinations and debilitating shakes and getting laid off work and all that. I just learned to live the best of two worlds this way.
