A man walks in for an interview

Yea, I post critical thoughts about college and inevitably grads come out and tell me how useful college is to their career and whatnot.

As a software engineer, programmer - whatever you want to call me, literally all the programming I learned in college was dated as hell at the time I took the class and completely irrelevant to anything I have ever worked on at my job.

I actually had better computer classes at my high school - there they taught Java and a CISCO Networking class that taught me a ton of stuff about networks.

In college I took a C++ class where we literally just wrote binary search trees ... an assembly class where we ... you guessed it! Made binary search trees.

The only class that was half decent was a PHP class I enrolled in ... that's not even including all the time wasted taking art and history classes.

Maybe some of my writing classes "forced me" to write and made me a slightly better writer, but that shit was not worth $50,000.
