About 20% exchange contacts with me. 30-35% are somewhere between very flattered and encouraging to slightly flattered and polite/smiley/cheerful. 30-35% are sort of neutral/shy/very surprised/say thanks and politely excuse themselves. 15% either completely blank me or don't stop to talk and just say they are not interested and brush me off.

No cursing, no violence, no public humiliation, no calling the cops. People (in this case women) are generally sane and are not out to get you. As long as you are respectful and leave when they reject you, you are not doing anything wrong. Very occasionally you meet a girl who is just not particularly nice and will look at you like you're trash. Anyone whose ego can't handle this should look inwards before thinking about the technicalities of approaching and such.
