Is mixing spirulina with animal milk really that bad? I'm not vegan or even vegetarian. But I do acknowledge the vital importance of greens.

I used to try and eat all kinds of healthy stuff, antioxidants, super foods, all that junk. I switched to a mostly lean protein diet, with mostly vegetable and not grain or potato carbs, and a multivitamin, occasionally some salad (I love kayle with raw broccoli bits and shredded raw brussels with balsamic for whatever reason) just to fill me up and get fiber. Same with steamed frozen mixed bags of veggies, just to fill me up. That and like eggs/tuna, occasionally salmon if it goes on sale or a steak if I can steal it from my parents fridge... That's like 98% of my diet. Maybe beans and salsa once in a while to spice up my chicken. I feel healthier than I've ever felt. My point is if you want to eat that stuff eat it, but don't overthink your diet and make it a pain either.

I think the whole don't use dairy thing is because of the the higher sugar content and digestibility issues some people may have, but I don't think it's some unwritten rule of spirulina. Personally the only dairy I get is from greek yogurt and the only supplemental protein I get is from cheap costco chocolate protein shakes. I'm not at athlete level health or anything but I've had a dramatic transformation in my health and well being, despite eating what appeared to be a very "healthy" (albeit high calorie) diet before. I kinda feel eating the correct amount of calories and protein and low sugar is the absolute rules of a healthy diet, the rest is all feeling your body out. Anyway my vote is add whatever you want to it if it fits your calories and diet plan, and try to keep the sugar low esp if you mix it with other pulverized fruit or plants that may turn into a sugary drink or whatever.
