Yeah, but we still need to actually come up with the actual mechanisms which could possibly sustain socialism. Part of the problem with socialists is that they want socialism, but have no idea what it would look like, so they can't communicate their ideas effectively. I am personally a market socialist. I want to begin socialism by evenly distributing out the market based abstractions of ownership that we currently have in a capitalist system to each individual person, and I would maintain that system as well as the rate of distribution in society by having Universal Basic Income as well as a mandate to invest in the means of production by continuing to buy stocks. Who you buy stocks in would be based on personal choice, but you would have to buy them. If there are better mechanisms for social control out there, I haven't heard of them and don't know what they would look like, but until they start to exist, we have to use the models of understanding that society actually knows how to utilize at this very moment, otherwise we will never start.
