Mormon girl, 12, is stopped from speaking as she explains why she is gay to church

I don't understand why people have to make public spectacles out of "coming out." Be who you are and live your life. Be gay, be straight, be Mormon, be Atheist. If someone wants to ask you "Hey bruh why do you do what you do how you do it?" Then start a dialogue; but shoving your sexuality in the faces of everyone in the room brings out the opposite effect and results in people getting butthurt. Her parents are the real people we should be blaming here. They could have instead steered their daughter to a better way of doing it, but I guess some families just do anything for the attention.

We want to talk about rights, but this girl ironically infringed on the rights of everyone in that Church who wanted to bring up their families the way they see fit. It sounds like she has a supportive and loving family, and ultimately that's all that matters; but I sure as heck wouldn't want to explain gender pseudoscience to my kids who don't even know how to find their privates yet.

Hate all you want against Mormons, they have every right to exist, believe, and practice their religion as you have every right to criticize it with equally religious zealotry. It's part of living in a free society.
