Moving from San Francisco to Pittsburgh

I'm sorry, I've apologized and think I've tried to flesh it out a little better elsewhere here, esp re: the dating thing. Hot girls don't date busters...I'ma stand by that.

I'm not trying to say I know better...I'm asking, don't you know better? You and the other guy in this thread both chimed in as former SFers, so I know you know better. I guess it's sort of a smug d-bag move, but when a Pittsburgher says that such and so is so awesome, I am often like...have you been anywhere else? Most recently was a friend singing the praises of public transportation in Pittsburgh because he could ride the T to a Pirates game. Really, Frank? Really? Frank's other big experience with public transportation is the people mover at the airport.

I mean, if I'm gonna go full-flyover on Pittsburgh, I'll just say they think Mad Mex is the best Mexican since ChiChi's went under and they only ever travel to Myrtle Beach or Disneyworld....if they leave Allegheny County.

I sometimes see myself as a yinzer Copernicus...at least on reddit...many here are overly optimistic about Pittsburgh's place in the order of things. It is not, objectively, the greatest city in the world...and there are sooooo many apologists for that position. It might not even be the greatest city in Pennsylvania. But here we are.

If we met over a Toronja Jarrito at el Milagro, you wouldn't hear a peep about my travels or SF unless you brought it up first because I'm too excited about spring, riding the GAP, all the exciting stuff going on in Homestead, the kooky church I go to, my kids, and the combination sauna/hot tub I'm building in my backyard. In other words, I'm only half the asshole in person I am on the internet, and I don't usually mean it like people think there, either.
