My first year of marriage was DIFFICULT because I kept expecting her to take care of things as she always did and I stressed her out by not taking the reigns like she wanted. We both felt like things were kind of out of control because we were expecting something from the other. We eventually had a come to jesus talk and sorted things out. We have clear roles and responsibilities. Things have been great since then. In some ways its a lot more work for me and in other ways I get treated like a king. But communication is key, you need to figure out what she expects from you. Just imagine it the other way around. If you were to give all the power to your girlfriend what would you need and want in return for that. She isn't giving all this to you freely you have to be strong enough and mature enough to carry double the weight some times.
