I had a friend with epilepsy. One day he had some kind of an episode, not a seizure. He walked around looking at things oddly and trying to pick them up. Saying they were too small or too big. He stared at me for a while and then slapped me in the face. Saying things werent real. I was a fraud. Just clearly having something epilepsy related happen. Afterward, he came back to sort of normal mental functioning and *years* were gone. I had to tell him the dogs we had when he first moved in were dead, we lived in a different house and he wanted to go home. It only lasted a few hours but I know it was real, the grief over those dogs being lost in a moment was a hard thing to see.
