I, personally, can understand why someone would decide they’ve had enough if their significant other has reached the point of ignoring them for days just to try to “teach them a lesson”. Especially after being in a long distance relationship, communication is so vital. Were there insecurity issues here too if this stemmed from him setting out “too long”?

It does sound like this is very much over at this point. I would learn from some of the issues here, and try to build back better.

For now, it sounds like it’s time to really focus on you are, how you feel and what you can do that you enjoy. Let yourself grieve for this relationship and don’t be hard on yourself for doing so.
