No second chances! Police will fine people the FIRST time they are caught not wearing a mask in shops or on public transport, or for leaving their home without a reason

I do too, but I think it's easier for a smaller chain to take it seriously that a supermarket because they employ a huge amount of unionised people, many conditions that exempt you from wearing masks are invisible, and they're applying the same rules they use for customers and that's just as lax. When given this choice, some take the piss. I know a guy who is middle management at a Premier Inn, and he's printed off an exemption from the internet despite having no condition because he just couldn't be bothered any more.

I would have liked to have seen exemptions only be allowed with a doctors note, but with the strain the NHS is under I can see why they didn't meaning we have to go for this half arsed honour system.
