Official Discussion: Furious 7 [SPOILERS]

Man, this was a hot, steaming pile of shit. Mind you, it was better than the last two movies, because the stunts and CGI were outrageously bad. The cinematography and directing were a lot improved as well, but Wan did not have much to work with. This story was just dogshit.

First of all, let me admit, I found myself wondering what the hell the plot of the damn film was at times. I was like, ok, why are they in Abu Dhabi? Why the hell are Tyrese and Ludicrous still in these fucking movies, they are annoying as shit! What is up with the cliches, such as casting a hot chick as a computer programmer, for instance? Oh my God, we never saw that coming! Did the producers introduce the amnesia angle for Letty to soften her personality up? I mean, it's just weird now how angry Letty is just totally gone, but she still loves Toretto, lol.

Rich Abu Dhabi prince/whatever keeps his expensive, rare sports car in his penthouse so it's ridiculously hard to drive it and enjoy it, and of course, so Toretto and Walker could have a ridiculously contrived stunt scene.

You can also drive two cars head on into each other and walk out milliseconds later, unscathed.

Also, if you're the Rock, you can shrug off shattering your arm and leg after falling off a building by breaking the cast, flexing your muscles and running out to carjack an ambulance and perfectly timing a jump off...a bridge...to destroy a drone...RIGHT.

I also learned that, like Avengers, a city can basically be under attack and destroyed, but the police, National Guard and regular military will stand aside and do nothing to respond.

Does anyone know what the fuck Djimon Honsou was doing at the end of the film? Why was he trying to kill Toretto so badly? I thought he was trying to kill Ramsey? Furthermore, if he had this amazing God's Eye tech, why did he even need to worry about her anymore?

What the hell was that rich Arab guy doing with that God's Eye in his car anyways?

Does Vin Diesel really think he can carry this series alone? He and Paul Walker worked as a team, kind of like how Jackie Chan worked well with Chris Tucker. One or the other just don't work well.

Anyways, despite all the plot holes, cliches and shitty acting, this movie got rave reviews from critics, something I found incredibly suspicious. It really does seem like they're just getting paid off now. There's no way, years ago, critics would ever have raved about shit like this. They would have refused.

I also need to finish by discussing Paul Walker's role in the film. They should have just killed him off early. It was painful to see all the parts where the audience was supposed to think, "Oh my God, he's going to die now!" Then it never happened. This happened way too many times for it to be a coincidence. Also, you could also see the parts that Walker hadn't finished, like in some scenes where he awkwardly doesn't say anything or interact with the other actors. It really started to highlight what the series would be like without Walker's character, and it's just not good. Without him as a counterbalance, the series just isn't going to work, and quite frankly, the whole plan for a new trilogy is garbage. Why bother? Fans are tired of this fucking franchise, it's out of ideas. They'll come out to see this movie, but I don't see them coming back for 8. I only watched the movie because my dad wanted to see a film. If I had to go with friends or by myself, I just wouldn't do it again.
