Oregon's Marijuana Industry Sold 11,000 Lbs. of Pot in 3 Months

As a Colorado resident, I find legal weed to be horrible.

First, there is the ease of buying it. No longer do people have to go to sketchy drug dealers in unsafe parts of town. We are making it too safe and easy for dangerous criminals to buy this plant. Second, money. It is so cheap. No longer do people have to pay $80 an quarter. Now, they can get organic, potent strains for $10 a gram. And on top of that absurdity, part of the money is then given to the state in taxes. Third, non-Coloradans. If I see one more Nebraska, Kansas, Utah, Wyoming, Texas, South Dakota, Arizona, Missouri, or Idaho tag I may flip. All these people are doing is coming into Colorado and spending their money and then leaving. And then we have to use that money on things like college scholarships, roads, and police. Finally, we are no longer locking up these people who smoke this deadly plant. That's thousands of people free to walk the streets, have jobs, raise families, and contribute to their community instead of being in prison.

It's a fucking nightmare. Please if you are in a prohibition state, keep it illegal. We will bear the burden of what these disastrous policies bring.
