Palestinians shield Israeli policewoman from rocks thrown by Jewish extremists

The problem is, even when Palestinians aren't tossing rocks, they're being murdered. Practically every recent conflict has been incited by the Israelis but they'll never tell you that.

Israel consistently broke ceasefires by attacking first - twice as much as Palestine but you'll never see it on the news.

For example, the Israeli human rights group B'tselem, citing the Israeli Shin Bet, notes that nearly 14,000 projectiles were fired from Gaza from 2005 to 2013. UN OCHA noted that Israel fired about the same number of artillery shells into Gaza......in 2006 alone. Lastly, the Shin Bet keeps numbers on Palestinian fire from Gaza but does not differentiate between fire at Israeli targets that have entered Gaza vs. those outside it. Also, it does not have data available at the week level, only the month level. Even using their numbers for Palestinian fire though, Israeli violations outnumber them nearly two to one.

Before people cry about "shots fired aren't indicators of ceasefires broken," this analysis provides both number of projectiles launched as well as cease fire violations. Those statistics are tracked separately.

Also,

79% of all conflict pauses were interrupted when Israel killed a Palestinian, while only 8% were interrupted by Palestinian attacks (the remaining 13% were interrupted by both sides on the same day). In addition, we found that this pattern -- in which Israel is more likely than Palestine to kill first after a conflict pause -- becomes more pronounced for longer conflict pauses. Indeed, of the 25 periods of nonviolence lasting longer than a week, Israel unilaterally interrupted 24, or 96%, and it unilaterally interrupted 100% of the 14 periods of nonviolence lasting longer than 9 days.
