Parents of Reddit. When did you realize your child was never going to be a good person?

When my ex-stepson punched his mother in face. Or maybe when he scared her so badly she took refuge in a bathroom with my one year old. I got home and the bottom corner of the door had been practically caved in.

Kid was in a school for problem children by the time he was nine. Did not help.

He is a bad person. An evil person. Every opportunity to succeed, support that some of my childhood friends who had to deal with real adversity would have killed for, and just a violent, entitled son of a bitch.

I fully expect him to attack my kid one day (ex gets visitation). I've taught my kid self defense largely to prepare for his older half-brother, and that's a crummy feeling.
