People need to STOP falling for scams like Roadsport Auto Credit and similar ones.

I'd like to offer some credit building advice if I could. If you have no debt but your credit score still sucks from being delinquent from previous loans, start with capital one Mastercard. They will usually be the first to lend.

Keep your limit low and use the card for small purchases that you can pay off immediately. Don't buy anything you can't afford. After 6 months or more, if your card balance is OK and you aren't delinquent, apply for a visa or Mastercard at your bank. Do the same for that card. Do not buy anything you cannot pay off right away.

6 months after that, you should be able to walk into a dealership and they "should" be able to help you out with a secure vehicle loan around 5 or 6%. Again, don't go big. They will say you can afford this $40k vehicle but, do you want to pay for this for 8 years?

Try to find a payment you can afford monthly for 5 years. That way, your vehicle "as long as you take care of it" is still worth a couple bucks when you are ready to upgrade.

Keep your payments up. Your credit is now at least respectable and as long as you don't get out of hand, you are probably able to look into mortgage three to four years after having terrible credit. With a down payment of course.
