Yes, I agree but this is related to making a point. For instance, remember back - way back - about seven years ago when Deepwater Horizon had that spill? The Economist did a similar thing with its cover by photoshopping out the other people. They tried to make a point that he's a bit alone on this. Side note: the Economist did it once more.

Now this is different because nobody was photoshopped but if you have cameras on someone all the time then you can catch them at a horrible moment which you can now twist into your own story.

People do this all the time. It's just more popular on reddit since people here are typically anti-Trump but I'm sure pro-Tea Party websites had similar things of Obama a while back. I have seen this one myself.
