Kind of an unspecific question but, is there anything I could gain by returning to the gym? Will anything change?

I've been lifting for 8 years, most of that time I basically lived in the gym I was a twig. I could deadlift 325 but still looked pretty much like this. I didn't notice progress until I learned proper technique, size gain until I hired a sports dietician; Didn't lean out til I went back to vegetarianism. I was obese and am sure the lack of definition is loose skin just like you see with John Glaude and Ethan Suplee.

At home, I row about 0.6 KM/day; I do 4 EZ bar lifts, hammer curls with a 35-lb dumbbell, plate raises and curls, and tension band flies. I love the gym, I really do, I hold a reverence for it almost; It's not the exercises I love, but the environment of the gym that keeps me returning. But, with school, I've stopped going. I have a strong urge to get back there, and the thing holding me back is the Sisyphean slog of the whole thing. If I go back, start moving iron again, will it change anything?
