Planet Fitness cancels woman's membership after her complaints of transgender woman in locker room

if someone has the apparence of a man, as in they are outwardly presenting themselves AS A MAN but they are identify as a women then that is not enough of a threshold to disregard anyone who's uncomfortable as a bigot

False. For someone who keeps begging the people in this thread to not make any assumptions, you are going so far as to not only assume the transwoman appeared masculine, but is also presenting as a man. Protip: if you're using the women's locker room you are not presenting as a man. The entire point of using the women's locker room is to present as a woman, regardless of whether you have broad shoulders of some facial scruff. As the self proclaimed expert on trans issues, your knowledge of gender theory and the concept of presenting is lacking.

me being tolerant means nothing

If you're so tolerant, why are you even arguing this? You seem to want a cookie and a trophy for not publicly treating transpeople poorly. Congratulations, you are a decent person in the year 2015. The fact that you're using language like "I have a problem with people who thing [sic] everyone who doesn't think like them is a bigot." What do you mean by that? You're so "tolerant" or trans people but you want to be able to "not think like them" if you so choose. Meaning what? Denying their existence as their preferred gender? Do you want the right to misgender trans people? Intentionally use incorrect pronouns? Denying their right to be recognized as trans if they don't fit your idea of what a man or woman is supposed to look like? The transwoman in this story wasn't doing anything other than going about her business. If she'd been harassing other gym users or making unwanted sexual advances towards people, that would be one thing, but her crime in the eyes of the bigoted woman seems to be merely existing.

If you think it's beyond the mind of a pervert to chuck a skirt and tights on as a pretense to get into the womens changing room then you need to internet more.

Do you really think the gym hasn't taken such a thing into consideration? Also, there's a very good chance I've been interneting longer than you've been alive.
