Please Help Me Identify My Mom's Mental Disorder

Here is what I can tell you. If you are interested in human psychology, then you may want to know the facts.

The subject, study, and practice of psychology- as taught in Universities- is, for the most part, the study of people like Sigmund Freud, Alfred Adler, Abraham Maslow and Carl Jung. And they each had different theories what constitutes human behavior and emotional or mental health. Their teachings are irreconcilable with each other. You can study them and estimate some theories and opinions of your own, but even these would not necessarily be approved by them. Not only that, but what people call "psychological diagnoses" are actually the opinions of people who studied from another person (a teacher) about the opinions of other people (like Freud or Adler) who are often called things like "Founding fathers of psychology", but who have no universal support on any matter regarding human psychology. You can get "universal agreement" on subjects like Math. You can get Universal agreement on facts like "2=2" or "an apple divided into two pieces equals two pieces of apple". But there is no universal agreement on any psychological theory or "label".

Proof of this fact may be that even court admissible diagnoese are often in disagreement with each other. And they are held up to a certain standard and they have to be made by a person with some credibility in the field of psychology as a profession in order for the diagnoses to be "court admissiable".

So after all this, your suggestion that you "identified" your father as "narcissistic" is quite unbelieveable. I can assure you that the people who wrote the psychology subject textbooks would not agree with you because they would not even agree with each other.

Anyways, I thought that this might help you in your research. Something that you wrote in your comment helped me, so it felt fair to give you some proper insight regarding the study of psychology.
