You're right. The people who believe that are the ones with the most extreme views. The true anarchists that don't think there should be a government at all and everything is community driven through mutual aid. Those people make up a fraction of a fraction of a single percentage of people. But their voices are the loudest because people need a boogeyman. This is coming from a leftist who believes in the defund the police moniker. We want funds allocated to experts to handle specific calls instead of having police arrive for everything. Saying policing is necessary is an understatement. The movement had more of a message than that but very very very few people don't want police at all, we would just like to have fewer deaths at the hands of them.
