Private clinics in vancouver

I've been dealing with this issue for 5 years now. 5 years of no drive, depression, constantly feeling lethargic, dead libido, falling asleep at work, sleeping all day during the weekends, weight gain, etc...

It was 2 years ago that I finally decided to see someone about it.

Both doctors (the one from 2 years ago and the one from now) essentially told me that I was full of it. It was only when I questioned the second doctor and told her that I knew the numbers being reported are far from normal for my age that I got forwarded to a specialist. Apparently she also knew that the numbers weren't normal but she was okay with leaving me as-is if I didn't know any better.

Now I'm going to go to see this specialist and I have serious doubts that he'll do anything. I feel like I'm about to enter some kafkaesque scenario where either I'm going to be written off again or I'll continue to wait while getting passed off to other doctors/specialists. My condition isn't something major. The walk-in clinics could have gone ahead and prescribed me the hormones. It's basic stuff. I'm not doctor shopping for opiates or anything like that. I'm just trying to get my hormones in balance so I can live a normal life.

At this point I've started to lose faith in the system. If I can pay 1-5k and get this sorted out by somebody competent, I'm willing to do it. It'd be a big financial hit but I'm willing to do it.
