Questions and General Discussion - Weekly Thread for November 12 2018

Just reflecting on the recent post by Daniel Ingram about the dark night and that vice article. Why do some people here who claim 'only' SE or maybe second path come across as much more enlightened than Daniel does?

I don't want to continu bad mouthing someone (who I'm sure is also a very compassionate and good guy in general who helps a lot of people both in his private and professional life) because of one post, but it just made me wonder. What does enlightenment do exactly that is so great if it still makes you trip up like that? An arahat with a bruised ego (which this clearly was an example of) throwing a littlebit of a hissy fit is just very strange to me.
