Rabies HA is wrecking me

This happened to me back in November. I had a new kitten who was born in a neighbors garage to an outdoor cat. The mother had no signs of rabies and neither did the kitten but when the kitten accidentally nipped me enough to drAw blood I freaked out. I had already had the kitten for 2 weeks and he showed no signs, so because of the the ER said no I don’t need the vaccine and I was told to watch the kitten for 10 days. Animals can only transmit rabies to you within 10 days of showing obvious rabies symptoms or rabies death. So if the kitten was fine at the end of 10 days, then I could not have gotten rabies.

As you can imagine the kitten and I are both fine. In your case the animal WAS vaccinated, so you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Please trust that :)
