Redditors who quit their jobs in a blaze of glory, what's your story?

I used to tend bar for years durling school, so I've been employed at I'd say 10 different ones. Most were totally cool, but this one place was run by a group of douchy yuppy hipster dudes and their "pet", a late twenties tattooed bi girl who was so "edgy" you just knew it was all made up.

Well, I'm on of the more experienced guys they hire for this new restaurant/bar thing they start up. The rest are newbs apart from one other girl ("Pet's" best friend). I just know that this combo is a recipe for disaster, so I figure I'll just do my job and enjoy the show.

I shit you not, all of this happened within the first few months:

  • management+head of staff have orgy with two of the waitresses. One of them quits days afterward.

  • one of the owners wives has sex with one of the male servers at an after party while the husband watches and wanks off.

  • one guy was fired for "having an attitude" (he simply asked why he had to pay for food when the hot girl waitresses got theirs free from the chef)

  • one of the chefs start banging one of the girls, and I heard he got divorced after i quit because of it.

  • "pet"s best friend gets promoted to bar manager, then proceeds to start a relationship with her favorite server (a young model looking dude, who suddenly gets a lot more work).

  • one night bi manager girl comes on to me (I'm married and I have two kids), when I say "no, thanks" - she cuts all my shifts on the next months schedule. Went from bout 15 shifts to 2 or 3.

Well, that was the final straw for me, up until then I had had good tips, and was enjoying the show. Next available day I went over, basically told her to fuck herself in front of the guests and staff and walked out the door. It was an amazing feeling. What a fucked up place.

By the way: the whole place lasted maybe 6 months, the staff were a shambles, food suffered, they couldn't hire new staff and the "pet" now tebds bar at some horrible teeny neon hipster joint with blue hair pretending she's 22, not 30. The disappointment in her eyes shows her true age, I guess.
