A reminder of what r/conspiracy used to look like

This series has inspired me to start my own series, which will be titled “Great NFL Careers”.

The premise is simple. I'll be picking a player that I enjoy/enjoyed watching, and will write about their career. I'll include highlights, what they are known for, stats, and all of that good stuff.

I'll try to post once a week, some weeks may have more, while some weeks may have less. So, I present to you, Great NFL Careers!

With the third pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select Larry Fitzgerald, wide receiver, University of Pittsburgh.

Accolades/achievements Fitzgerald’s 13 year career (and counting), has been a memorable one. He has landed himself on a Pro Bowl roster ten times, was a member of the First-team All Pro in 2008 as well as being a two time member of the Second-team All Pro in 2009 and 2011. He led the NFL in receptions in 2005 and 2016, and was a co-leader in touchdowns in 2008 and 2009. On top of these achievements, he was also the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year in 2016.

Career stats Throughout his career, he has caught 1,125 passes, 104 of those being touchdowns. He has netted 14,389 receiving yards, an average of 12.8 yards per catch. The crazy thing about Larry, is that he has only dropped the ball 24 times in his career.

Career records As of right now, he is third in all time receptions, 224 receptions behind Jerry Rice. He is ninth all time in receiving yards. He is 9000 yards behind Rice, but a 1000 yard season would put him third all time in this category. Fitz is also 8th all time in career touchdowns, eight touchdowns out of 5th.

NFL Records Fitz holds the record for the most 90+ catch season with seven seasons. In 2008, he set three postseason records: touchdown receptions (8), receptions (30), and receiving yards (546). Larry is the youngest player to ever record 11,000 receiving yards, and the youngest player to catch 1,000 passes.

Franchise Records On top of all his NFL records, Fitzgerald also holds a fair share of Cardinals franchise records. Most receiving yards, most touchdown receptions, most receptions, most 100+ reception seasons, most 1,000 yard seasons, most 10+ touchdown seasons, most receptions in a season, and consecutive seasons with a touchdown. When looking at Arizona Cardinals history, it's hard to deny that Fitz isn't one of, if not the greatest Cardinal ever.

Besides his receiving stats,
