Report: Texas high school cheerleaders kneel during national anthem

Those are a lot of assumptions. I don’t care about the kneeling. But if those athletes really cared about the brutality with their own community, shouldn’t they start within the NFL itself? The season is only three weeks old and NFL players have been arrested something like 32 times already: aggravated assault, domestic battery, etc. If this “community” (all ethnic backgrounds) really cared about brutality, maybe focusing on their teammates behavior would be a good first acknowledgement. Furthermore, if we are speaking about the African American community in particular, 93% of blacks are killed by other blacks. The brutality begins at home.

While I agree that certain cases of police brutality are terrible, and I do support anyone’s right to protest, I find people’s lack of perspective astounding. Even my own at times. It’s part of the human condition. But the easiest path is to play the victim, so many seek that path.

Ever wonder why Asians as a stereotype within America don’t feel so persecuted? Maybe because they commit a drastically lower amount of crime (more than whites), they get educated, they find ways to be employed. Life is a competition, and those that compete well ate rewarded.
