Richard Lee Norris, horribly disfigured in a shotgun accident, before and after a face transplant surgery

Idk. But i know that the chances of anyone surving a shotgun to the face point blank is slim to none. If it is indeed true, then he is like the luckiest guy out there to still be alive. I mean you see internet stories like this that float around all the time, where the storie gets changed, or added to an actual event.

It could have been a thousand things that could have caused it. For instance, if you have ever seen pics of people who had throat cancer from dipping, they look very similar to his jaw down. Not sayin thats what happend cause obviously the rest of his face is fucked, but im just saying that theres alot of events that could have happened to cause such injuries and deformities. But a shotgun to the face? A point blank? I am very skeptical of that one.

If i shot someone in the face at 100 yards with a 12 gauge, you think they would survive? I would have to say that the only way that this story could be true, is if it was a 410 loaded with birdshot. And the majority of the shot would have missed him.

In order for that angle to be possible, i dont see any way he himself could have been holding that shotgun. And even then his chances of survival would be slim. But if he had the barrel facing up towards him, and it went off, then theres no way he would survive.

Kurt cobain was shot with a 20 gauge. And we all know what happened with that. The back of his head was blown off. Now we can argue "suicide or murder" (personally i say that has murder written all over it), but the point his he took a shotgun to the face, and he was nearly unrecognizable. And there were skull fragments from the back of his head strewen about.

The fact that this guy took it and lived to tell about it? Idk man. Seems kinda unreal to me.
