Yup. The Transies will very quickly be replaced by the next cause célèbre. The whole idea is create a big controversy, provoke a reaction, mock the reaction, win points for appearing sympathetic and getting people to laugh. Once the left has exploited the Transies for as much political capital as they can, they'll toss them off to the side and move on to the next one.

The logical next step is pedophiles. It is strictly in line with the theory of the spectacle of scaffold that the media has us today viciously punishing pedophiles like the Duggars and Hastert just so that tomorrow they can have us feeling ashamed of our viciousness in the face of 'new evidence, research, and arguments' they will use to show us just how wrong we were to think in such 'ancient and bigoted ways'. The matter of consent will be revisited.

'Courageous and brilliant' researchers will give us new research that will show that, hey whaddayaknow, it turns out kids can consent to sex after all! We'll be flooded with data that shows all the kids visiting all the porn sites, uploading porn of themselves, and hey, if a prepubescent has enough reason to choose whether they were born into the right or wrong body for whatever gender they want to be, and has enough reason to choose to delay puberty, then certainly they have enough reason to consent to sex acts, amirite?

Hell, we may eventually even see the normalization of people choosing to take chemicals to delay puberty forever. To stay kids forever, or at least as long as possible. The sky is just the start. Any perversion you can imagine will be rationalized and normalized, just think of all the new markets that will be created in the process! All the GDP growth from people having surgeries to become the animas they really feel like they are and buying all the merch and equipment necessary to support their new identities (You can't be a proper transy with some nice new Kardashian fashion can you?)
