Saudi Consul fired and placed under investigation after he is 'recorded saying 'Do this outside; you're going to get me in trouble' during torture of journalist'

I use to think tv shows like Homeland vastly exaggerated the covert operations governments would stoop to, after this though I realized I was giving those in power too much credit, I assumed they'd be above mafia-style tactics. Lesson learned. It's an ugly world out there and to remain in power, those in power will do anything to preserve it, anything.

I'm glad we finally have a collaborative recording that catches a government red handed like this, unfortunately this will be the last time we get the inside scoop of what actually happens when a person being interrogated "accidentally" dies during his torture I mean interrogation as you know they won't let a smart watch go unnoticed next time they question someone. The tape getting out will seriously damage the Saudi's reputation, Turkey knows this, it will be interesting to see if this recording ever get released. I can imagine Saudi Arabia will pay any amount to have the recording destroyed.
