[Semi-Weekly Inquirer] Simple Questions and Recommendations Thread

Hi /r/watches I'm wondering if any of y'all can help me out in my quest to find a watch.

I'm 100% getting an Omega Speedmaster dark side of the moon sometime soon, and I also have an order in place for a Tissot T-Race MotoGP watch. I'm considering getting something to "split the middle" so to speak, something I can wear to law firm interviews/formalish events where I don't want to wear the Omega. I tend to like more "modern" styles, the Speedmaster dark side of the moon is basically the perfect watch to me (not counting Urwerk watches) if that gives you an idea.

I've thus far found the Seiko Astron ssh011j1 which I like but don't love. Haven't seen it in person though. https://www.seikowatches.com/ca-en/products/astron/ssh011j1

I also like the IWC "Top Gun" pilot's watches, but the top gun/US navy branding ruins that watch for me.

If you have any recommendations of similar styles, or even dissimilar ones, I'm all ears. Looking to spend 1k-4k. Also semi related, anyone know how often Seiko updates your Astron line? I feel like I would definitely get one if some aesthetic changes were made as I like the idea behind the watch.
