Police spend their time in low socioeconomic areas because those people are the most vulnerable in our capitalist system and police know they can take advantage of those groups to meet quotas and find crime. They can find crime because those areas are desperate for survival. Systemic racism and a history of over-policing pushes those people to crime out of necessity. So yes, fbi crime reports will show that low socioeconomic areas are riddled with crime, but if youre not asking why that may be, then of course you'll find all of this ridiculous.
