Name / URL: Skillify (www.skillify.co.uk) Location of Your Headquarters: UK Elevator Pitch: Several people I know have serious skills, for example one is a council gardener but restores motorbikes at the weekend to show standard, another is my mum, who does basic boring admin stuff but is a fully trained watercolour artist and illustrator.

Both want to find a new job to doing what they love but are stuck in their day jobs as they have no way to showcase their skill and work to potential employers. Nor can they afford the time or cost of getting a qualification / certificate to prove they can do what they say they can.

This is where "Skillify" comes in - "no CVs, no certificates, just you and your passion"

I have tried to create a strong memorable brand that will stick out and get users on-board, I'm about to start the actual website build, followed by some sort of app ('cos they are all the rage!) My intention is to allow people to create a profile, show what they can do with text, photos, videos etc, say what they are looking for in the way of work, and allow employers to search by skill instead of relying on a deconstructed out of date uploaded CV.

This is not for people to find odd-jobs like Fiverr etc, this is for people who want a career change but are stuck in a job they no longer (or never really did) want.

Monetisation: I'll offer paid "Premium" subscriptions and charge employers and agencies to access contact details etc.
