'She's one of us': Meet the voters who shunned the major parties in favour of Pauline Hanson

Can I just say that voting for One Nation unironically has the potential to be harmful for many Australians.

Look I get your point about the major parties not being able to represent your interests. I get that.

However please consider that for many of us One Nations rhetoric is extremely disgusting when it comes to minorities. My girlfriend is Muslim and sometime in the near future I would very much like for her to come and live in Australia. However if more people vote for One Nation as a protest vote, her actually being allowed into the country seems unlikely.

Does this seem fair?

If parties like One Nation are allowed to grow, will I have to begin for her safety? Will I have to fear for my safety? What about our potential childrens safety? Will they be ridiculed at school simply because their mother is Muslim?

EDIT: Not to mention the anti-climate change One Nation members are saying. This are all very worrying signs and could will be catastrophic for Australia in the future.
