I don't know if this fits the paranormal but I've always believed in the chance that things are connected on a level we can't comprehend. That is to say, I don't believe it, but want to.

I only have one specific memory that I can recall, but it tripped me out. I had been trying to go to sleep on a calm summer night. I exhausted my thoughts and just laid there empty-minded staring at the darkness. I felt like I was zoned out. Don't know why but I thought "I want some light", and then there was lightning in the distance. I thought "again" and there it was again. I waited maybe 50 or 60 seconds thins time and thought "again" and there it was. I then got a glass of water and fell asleep.

Obviously it's coincidence, but I like thinking our minds can function in a way we don't yet know. It's some LaPlace's Demon type shit though.
