Son suspended from school for sexist insult, is the punishment too harsh?

Feel sorry for kids nowadays, especially young males growing up in middle class areas…

If you accept the punishment and side with the school, you’re only teaching your son that you’re gonna punish him for standing up for himself… He’ll either end up scared nice guy who gets walked all over in life, or he’ll begin to fucking resent you, women and school

I said way worse than that in school in the 90s/2000s. We would openly refer to women as “fanny/tottie”, as would all the men where I’m from, and we still do…. I even hit a lass once (by accident when I was fighting with a lad)… didn’t get suspended for that, although they did eventually kick me out for something that I can’t remember
