Story Time - Week of December 07, 2015

Kind of a weird story that has been in the works for the past few weeks.

I had my cousins and my niece stay with me a few weekends ago, and I offered to baby sit the little one while her parents went to a company dinner event that they were in town for. So I asked her what she wanted to do and for some random-ass reason, she said that she wanted to watch a basketball game. Living in Seattle, that is a little hard so the only thing that we were able to watch that day (In the price range that I wanted to spend) was a women's college basketball game. So we get to the stadium, I buy her a hat, and she is just having the time of her life. While watching a basketball game is not my favorite activity, my niece was having a blast which put me in a fantastic mood. Entertaining a four year old may be the easiest job in the world; we were just goofing off and cheering if anything exciting happened on either team. Halfway through the second quarter, my niece randomly decides that one of the point guards, lets call her Kelly, is her favorite player because she was the "prettiest" and spends the next five minutes waving at her trying to get her attention. I remember thinking that she was fairly cute but a little taller than the girls that I normally go for (She's 5'8" and I'm 5'10"). We were sitting right behind the bench so when she got subbed out, she started laughing and waved back to the girl randomly spazzing out on the sidelines. Every once in a while after she scored, she would look over and start laughing at my niece doing all sorts of crazy and goofy shit.

The game ends and I was picking up my niece when I feel Kelly tapping me on the shoulder to say hi. We exchanged pleasantries and she starts talking to my niece on whether or not she enjoyed the game. She mentions halfway through the conversation that she came over because "you guys looked cute cheering on the sidelines", and we looked like we were having a lot more fun than everyone else in the stands. We talked for a good five minutes before she had to go, but right before she did she said something along the lines of "I hope to see you guys at more of our games", winks, and then waves goodbye.

Fast forwarding to yesterday, I'm out drinking with my friends when I get a notification that I received a tinder superlike and low and behold, it was Kelly (She was my first... Superlike). I scroll through her bio pictures and her instagram pictures, and I realized that this girl was lookin' real nice when she wasn't sweating on the basketball court. So my interest boner is at full pickle and was very surprised that she even remembered me from the game. We go through the whole exchanging of pleasantries and she says "I'm pretty sad that I haven't seen you and your daughter at any of our recent games. :(". I reply back with "She's actually my niece who was in town and she randomly wanted to see a basketball game. I'm pretty happy that she did because then I wouldn't have met you. ;)". I get radio silence for a few hours and right when I start thinking that I said something wrong, she replies with "Drinks tonight?" and her phone number. So to make a short story longer, Kelly and I have a date set for tonight at a restaurant nearby the both of us and I'm sitting here at work with an anticiperection.

TL;DR: Took my niece to a basketball game and she may have helped me crush puss.
