Strategic Butt Coverings - Tropes vs Women in Video Games

I just don't see the problem with sexualisation of female characters and the overly mascuiline/handsome approach to male characters, pointing it out as if it is seems silly and drama seeking to me. People don't like playing ugly or boring characters, in many ways video game characters are like super heroes and get represented in a larger than life way. If it's such a problem then people should make different games, when literally every single facet of our media focuses on being attractive I think pointing it out at this stage is kind redundant.

I'm gay and take way more notice of a guys abs/arms/handsome face than I do his butt, the sexual traits between genders aren't directly comparable and it doesn't matter if guys butts aren't as accentuated. Fucking everything else is, I certainly don't play any games with average looking dudes. To me it's insane to specifically focus on freaking butts to point out that women characters have it worse with design being accentuated. Especially with the examples given when she uses footage from things like Bully to show that guys aren't sexualized.

People are making more games with more diverse characters now that there are more female gamers interested. But when people like playing pretty and handsome characters of course game designers are largely going to focus on those traits.

I think focusing on things like Life is Strange character design is a good thing, picking and choosing characters to compare on one sexual feature to make your argument though just leaves me feeling as if you are forcing a point and I stop caring. Cat woman has been sexualised for decades now and is an awful example, Bully is a shit example to show for unsexualised men etc...
