The Surprising Depth Of Horizon Zero Dawn's New Gameplay | Game Informer

Thank you. I didn't want to watch the video because I figured it would be someone touting features to a game that are in fact nothing new and do not involve 'depth' at all. These things you speak of are in fact nothing new, and do not involve depth at all. Just standard action RPG elements with a shiny new frosting. These guys must smoke some pretty good pot.

"Yeah, man, and the weapons, get this... the weapons have stuff you can do to them to make them do different things!" - high developer "You mean upgrades?" - only sober person in room "Yeah, but these are called the (insert hybrid buzzword) system." - other high developer "And check out these tow... I mean this (insert hybrid buzzword) map system that reveals the map." "That sounds cool. How does it work?" - sober developer "Get this, this is awesome," takes a dry sip from empty taco bell cup, "You climb up to the top and, oh man this is so wicked, you press the X button and a small chunk of the map is revealed!" Huge smiles all around. "I'm giving my two weeks notice." - sober developer
