I think there's a leak in the water pipe from the street to my house.

The main is the responsibility of the county. At the main, each house will have a curb stop. If it is passed the curb stop (a near certainty since you said you hear it by your meter) then this repair is your responsibility. Furthermore, if the water is not making it to the meter eventually the county of going to call you and tell you to resolve the issue or they will shut your water off (because it’s being dumped and they’re not being paid for it.)

Just had to do this exact same repair for a client out in Gates. She let it go from August till mid September. By that time, the leaking water had eroded part of her driveway so there was a dip in it asp a lot of the soil under the stamped concrete walkway to her house washed away. We had to cut her walkway out and dig down about 6ft to repair the line which was indeed cracked.

Not an easy job and not cheap. Sorry to inform. Not trying to scare you, just want to be honest.
