The Government, any government, can kill whoever they want at any time they want and even if we all know that the government killed them they know that we the people will do nothing to stop them.

If the US Government wanted to kill, oh I don't know, lets say a high profile child sex ring operator/human trafficker was about to testify in open court, naming names and outing many officials as coconspirators and as child rapists. Since this is all made up lets use a fake name, how about Edward Peter Steinbeck? Now, in this fictional example if the Government brutally murdered E. P. Steinbeck in his jail cell the night before he was going to testify and LITERALLY EVERYONE ON THE PANET knew that the US government was involved in this murder, then you know what would happen?
