Those with depression: pull up a chair and share your tips.

I will try to give a very short synopsis of my experience. I had moderate to severe depression for a few years during which I was using weed daily usually only at night. My weed habit never really changed much, but I fixed some things in my life that were really more of the true root of my depression and my depression pretty much went away. Now, I see that weed was a good tool for me to deal with the depression at the very worst of times, but it probably is holding back my full recovery. I feel pretty good most days, but I think its hurting me more than helping me now. So my initial comment was aimed just as much at myself than to you. Because now I still use weed daily or almost daily and I think it really is not helpful for my mood overall. Whenever I do take a break, I start feeling a lot better around day 5-6 or so, but it could definitely take a couple weeks to start feeling better.
