Trump: 'I'm not going to rule out a military option' in Venezuela

No, I'm sorry that's complete bullshit. Just like trickle down economics doesn't work, there's no evidence to suggest the pro life strategy is in any way effective at accomplishing the stated goals of the movement. You cannot claim to be results oriented if you reject or ignore empirical data. Bad policy is bad policy regardless of whether it's ethically justified from a particular religious perspective. If your incompetent policy causes more problems than it solves you don't get a pass because you 'meant well'. Your incompetence isn't excused because it was ideologically driven despite mountains of evidence to suggest otherwise.

The purpose of making abortion illegal is to create a disincentive through threat of punishment. Overturning roe v wade will not stop abortion since it will only return the decision to individual states nor will it remove the many strong incentives to have an abortion. It will however create an underground black market and criminal enterprises to profit off of it. It will make legally tracking abortion impossible and guarantee that no real world data can be used to judge the effectiveness of anti abortion measures. It will make ending abortion impossible. It will punish and trap poor minorities in a cycle of generational poverty, while wealthy white women will cross the border to abortion friendly states.

If the purpose is not to punish, then there are only two possible explanations for why the Pro Life movement refuses to alter its political strategy: Either they are too incompetent to be trusted with public policy or they are lying about their stated goals.
