Trump reportedly fawned over Putin after their meeting and told aides the Russian leader was strong, smart, and cunning

You make some good points, but the republican shit machine gave us Trump. Trump is the ultimate distillation, the ultimate end goal of the radical conservative thought that now dominates the republican party. Isolationism, racism, sexism, and anti-intellectualism.

They played it safe before with people like Bush and Romney, because they thought radicals like Trump, who are open in their bigotry and idiocy, would alienate voters and prevent republicans from maintaining power. So they put forward seemingly semi-sane people in an effort to slowly inch toward their goals.

Trump's election proved them wrong. He's completely open about everything republicans cautiously tried to keep close to the chest, and voters ate it up anyway. He's burning everything Obama accomplished to the ground, he's consolidating power and gaming the supreme court to ensure the power he's handing the republican party stays after he's left.

Until the day I die I'm not giving the republicans a chance. I don't care who they put forward. Because if we're able to oust this administration, they will try again. This is the closest they've gotten to turning the US into a fascist state, and we can't let it get here again.
